Independent Lifestyles provides specialist supported living and care services across Kent for adults with learning disabilities, autism, acquired brain injury, mental health needs and other complex support needs.
Our Kent services are designed to help people live safely and confidently, with support that promotes independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing.

Kent offers a variety of town, coastal and community settings, with access to local amenities, leisure opportunities, education, volunteering and community activities.
We support people to develop daily living skills, build confidence, access local services, maintain important relationships and take part in activities that matter to them.
Each support package is developed around the individual’s assessed needs, strengths, preferences and goals. We work closely with the person, their family where appropriate, commissioners, local authorities and professionals to ensure support is joined-up and outcome-focused.
Where supported living accommodation is involved, we may work alongside specialist housing providers. Independent Lifestyles provides the care and support package, while housing and tenancy arrangements are managed separately.

We understand how important relationships and emotional support are to overall wellbeing.
That’s why we encourage the people we support to maintain strong connections with family, friends and community networks, while also ensuring their views and feedback remain central to the care they receive.
We work closely with each person, their family where appropriate, local authorities, commissioners and health and social care professionals to provide joined-up, person-centred support. Our aim is to help create stable, positive support arrangements that promote choice, dignity, independence and long-term quality of life.
Across Sussex and Kent, our supported living and residential care services are delivered by compassionate, trained and committed staff who are focused on providing safe, respectful and high-quality support.

Our specialist support services may include support with communication, emotional wellbeing, sensory needs, positive behaviour support, social development and everyday living tasks. Through personalised activity plans and structured weekly routines, we help people build confidence, develop skills and work towards positive outcomes.
Our aim is to promote independence, wellbeing, choice and social inclusion in everyday life.
We understand how important relationships, connection and emotional wellbeing are to a person’s quality of life. Where the person wishes, we support them to maintain positive relationships with family, friends and wider support networks. We also encourage people to build links within their local community, access meaningful activities and take part in everyday life in a way that feels right for them.
The views, wishes and feedback of the people we support remain central to how their care and support is planned, delivered and reviewed.
