Delivering person-centred care and strength-based support that empowers all people we support, so their dignity and independence is respected and maintained and they have control over their lives and what matters to them.Bio:
Michelle has worked in social care for around 25 years, beginning her career as a Care Assistant in a 60-bed nursing home supporting older people, including those living with dementia, frailty and individuals receiving end-of-life care.
She later moved into supporting young adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. Since joining Independent Lifestyles, she has achieved her NVQ qualifications (Levels 2–4) and progressed from Support Worker to Team Leader, reflecting her commitment to professional development and delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
Over the past few months, Michelle has taken on the role of Acting Service Manager while covering maternity leave. She has found the opportunity both rewarding and fulfilling, enjoying the chance to support and develop her team while continuing to ensure the people we support receive compassionate, person-centred care. She is passionate about helping individuals achieve positive outcomes and reach their full potential.
