Name: Ruth
Role: Operations Manager
What do you enjoy most about your role?
What I enjoy most about my role is being able to make a meaningful difference to the quality of life for people with Autism, Learning disabilities, and Acquired Brain injury. I value creating services that are genuinely person-centred, where individuals feel safe, respected, empowered, and supported to live as independently as possible. Most importantly, I enjoy knowing that the work we do has a real impact on people’s daily lives, outcomes, and opportunities.
What matters most in good support?
What matters most in good support is ensuring that every person is treated with dignity, respect, and individuality. In supported living services, good support should always be person-centred, promoting choice, independence, and meaningful involvement in decisions about someone’s own life.As an Operations Manager, I believe consistency, communication, and trust are essential. The people we support need to feel safe, understood, and valued, and that comes from having compassionate, well-trained staff who genuinely care and take the time to build positive relationships.
